PATENTS. |

Besides the above mentioned international means of filing
a patent application in different countries (European Patent
Convention and Patent Cooperation Treaty), a patent can be
applied for in almost any country in the world. Furthermore,
in all those member countries of the Paris Convention, it
is also possible to claim priority of the first patent application
(Spanish, European or via PCT) within the 12 months following
the date of its filing.
2- INDUSTRIAL MODELS AND DESIGN.
As in the case of patents, protection of an industrial model
or design can be extended to other countries in addition to
the filing via International Industrial Model. It is also
possible to claim priority of the first model or design applied
for within the 6 months following its date of filing.
3- TRADE
MARKS.
Besides the possibility of protecting a trade mark by means
of a Community or International Trade Mark, it is possible
to seek trade mark protection through a national application
, nearly in every country in the world. The possibility of
claiming priority is also open to member countries of the
Paris Union, within the 6 months following the date of application
of the former filing.
